Version 4.69 is now available for download and the new iPad version is
available in iTunes.

If you are running WineryPOS version 4.66 (or 4.67, or 4.68) you can perform
a regular update via the update server. If you are running an older version
(4.65 or older), you need to manually update your application.

--------- REGULAR UPDATE METHOD ------------

1. To check for updates select Help/Check for Updates from the menu
bar, and the download will begin.
On base and sales terminals (or a Remote Terminal in Temporary Sales Mode)
you have to be in admin mode (press F12) to be able to check for updates.

2. When the download completes, select 'Yes' to start the installation

Follow the installer directions.
You can now restart the WineryPOS application.

It is better to update your base terminal first. You can leave your
remote terminal(s) running and connected while you update the base terminal.

If you have anti-virus software running, you may need to verify that
the WineryPOS application is still being allowed through the anti-virus
firewall.

If your remote terminal does not automatically pull the update from the
base terminal, and goes into Temporary Sales mode on start-up, just check
for updates on the remote terminal while in Temporary Sales mode.

--------- END REGULAR UPDATE METHOD ------------

--------- END MANUAL UPDATE METHOD ------------

UPDATES (from 4.66) IN THIS VERSION:

1) Add View buttons to the Sales (Daily) Summary dialog. The View
buttons allow you to display the transactions for a specific payment type.
The totals shown in the transaction dialog are only for the payment
selected. If you have a sales transaction with a split payment between
Debit and Visa and you view the Debit transactions - only the Debit total is
shown (not the Visa).

2) Add a 'Include invoice payments made in period' to the Sales (Daily)
Summary dialog. When checked, any payments on invoices made during the
period will be added in the Sales Summary totals. You can now use this
dialog to replicate the data shown for an End-of-Day. The reports generated
are still based on the sales transactions during the period.

3) Add payment breakdown for transactions to Staff Cash Out transaction
list.

4) Fix a BTG bottle deduction error. There was an odd scenario that
wouldn't deduct the bottle from the bottle inventory.

5) Fix BTG/TH group sale item button retention. It could disappear if
you didn't allow non-VQA licensee sales.

6) Launch processes differently on MAC to avoid pre-installed apps
failing to launch on newer MAC OSX versions.

7) Show a 'Table Map' button in the Sales Channel ribbon when you have
the Table payment button displayed.

a. Pressing the Table Map button, displays the Table Map and allows
the table transactions to be shown when the appropriate table is pressed.

8) Open (unpaid) tables on the Table Map are outlined in Red

9) When invoices (or open tables) are being paid using the
Semi-integration button in the Update dialog:

a. Fix an error (only in the desktop app) to correctly add the tip
into the payment list.

b. If Sales transaction printing is enabled, auto-print the receipt and
close the dialog when the payment is received from the merchant terminal.

10) Change the Sales by Sales Channel table in reports to include a bottle
deposit column.

11) Discount Sale Item buttons can now be percentages OR dollar amounts.
When configuring the Sale Item - check or un-check the 'Is Percentage'
checkbox on the right side of the Price/Percent entry.

12) Tip Item buttons can now be dollar amounts OR percentages. When
configuring the Sale Item - check or un-check the 'Is Percentage' checkbox
on the right side of the Price/Percent entry.

a. Percentage tips are not re-calculated if you add more items to the
sale - so add the tip last - or manually adjust it.

13) Do not allow negative cashbacks to be entered. This could be entered
even though it is not valid.

14) Other misc fixes/changes/additions.

Upcoming Additions;

1) Add a configurable Region to the information for Contacts and allow
reports to be generated for regions (e.g., GTA/Ottawa/etc).

2) Add Credit-on-Account tables to all of the relevant reports

3) Add complexity to the Sales Accounting reports, with the potential
of being able to post the data to Sage and Quickbooks

4) Import/Export. a) handle Sale Groups and Sale Sets. b) Bulk
inventory

5) Be able to create sub-invoices or invoice sets for large sales done
through sales reps.

6) Offer a backup service to store encrypted backups of your database
on my server.

7) Ability to create barcodes or QR codes for membership contacts that
can be scanned from a smart phone. That way membership swipe cards are not
needed.

8) Create an iPhone app that supports the booking feature.

9) Add a timesheet feature to track/report employee work hours

10) Be able to Print bookings by the week/month.

11) Add secondary commission rate for specific sales channels (eg Export,
or OOP).

12) Add a Loyalty program to award points/discounts/stuff to individuals
based on their purchases over the past number of month/weeks.

13) Add ability to create reports for individual contacts for a period of
time that contain all transactions, and payments on the account for the
period.

14) Soon the MAC build will only support 10.9+. This is due to Apple
changing its security requirements for apps in the near future.

15) I will be moving the Windows build to a 64bit build (the MAC build has
always been 64bit) by the summer/fall of 2021. This means that really old
32bit computers (12+ years and probably running Windows XP) will no longer
be supported. If you have really old machines, you should consider
upgrading them (but kodus to them for surviving this long).

I expect the next update to be in mid-August. With covid-19, there are some
features that I am trying to push in quite quickly to help everyone out.
Most of those additions are suited towards table service (the Restaurant
Package).

As always, if there are any enhancements that you would like to see added,
let me know. I put everything suggested on a prioritized list, and slowly
work my way through it.

Cheers,

Rob
