Version 4.43 is now available for download and the new iPad version is
available in iTunes.

To check for updates select Help/Check for Updates from the menu bar, and
the download will begin.

On base and sales terminals (or a Remote Terminal in Temporary Sales Mode)
you have to be in admin mode (F12) to be able to check for updates.

When the download completes, select 'Yes' to start the installation.

   Follow the installer directions.

You can now restart the WineryPOS application.

It is better to update your base terminal first. You can leave your remote
terminal(s) running and connected while you update the base terminal. If
you have anti-virus software running, you may need to verify that the
WineryPOS application is still being allowed through the anti-virus
firewall. If your remote terminal does not automatically pull the update
from the base terminal, and goes into Temporary Sales mode on start-up, just
check for updates on the remote terminal while in Temporary Sales mode.

Updates in this version - mostly small adjustments:

1) Added logic to handle poor wireless networks that are constantly going up
and down

1a) Added logic to detect duplicate transactions - this can happen if the
wireless connection goes down and the base terminal has recorded the
transactions, but the ipad did not get the acknowledgement.

1b) Added logic to ignore multiple fluctuations that could potentially
affect which temporary sales the remote terminal thinks that it has.

2) Adjust a number of dialogs to handle smaller (1024) screen sizes.

3) Handle really long wine/item titles that can cause wrapping in pdf
invoices.

4) Allow cash payments when the total sale equals 0$

5) Allow licensee/lcbo/oop/export wine prices to be modified from the Update
Sale dialog. This is to allow wineries to add sales into past months, where
the wine price has changed.

6) Allow credit/debit card buttons to be shown with the merchant terminal
button when in semi-integrated mode (for cc sales using a different merchant
terminal)

6a) Note that there is a 'Pay By' menu under the Sales menu that always be
used as well.

6b) Added a 'Pay By' menu item to the iPad for consistency with the desktop
app.

7) Added the ability to manually adjust the bottle inventory for the current
or historical months. The manual adjustment can be positive or negative.

8) Added the ability to create a second invoice payment info set of lines
(set by pressing the Payment Info button in the Winery Info dialog).

8a) Added a 'Use Secondary Payment Info for Invoices' checkbox to the
Contact List dialog.

8b) The Secondary Payment Info is used for Invoices of Contacts that have
the above checkbox set, otherwise the primary Payment Info is used.

Upcoming additions:

1) Semi-integration with other merchants.

2) Splitting of sales with multiple credit/debit cards when in
semi-integrated mode.

3) Contact Lists. a) Ability to generate emails for email lists, and wine
club lists. b) Option to sort contacts by FIRST NAME, LAST NAME

4) Add dialog that resembles the main display (sale item buttons & pages)
for quickly adding more sale items to sales in the Update Sale dialog (this
feature is already on the iPad).

5) Multiple table maps.

6) Search facilities in the Contact List to search by telephone, name, Wine
club, email list, etc.

7) Import/Export. a) handle Sale Groups and Sale Sets. b) Bulk inventory.
c) Sales data posting to QuickBooks and Sage.

8) More statistics generation (average sale per transaction, etc).

9) VQA Ontario just announced that you can upload the VQAO excel sheet for
reporting purposes each month. I will add a capability to produce the
single sheet for uploading.

I expect the next update to be in the October time-frame.

As always, if there are any enhancements that you would like to see added,
let me know. I put everything suggested on a prioritized list, and slowly
work my way through it.

Cheers,

Rob
