Note on HST holiday and sales to the LCBO

Folks,

If you sell wine to the LCBO, the updated POS removes HST on wine sales.
The only HST you would see on a sale to the LCBO is on direct delivery,
where there is a freight fee - and shipping still has HST.

If the LCBO pays you the wrong amount of HST on the transaction - you can
create an HST Adjustment in the POS to capture the difference.

1) From the menubar select Sales / Create HST Adjustment

2) Pick the Contact (make sure to be in the LCBO sales channel so that
LCBO contact's are shown)

3) Enter the amount to correct the HST (this can be a positive or
negative amount)

4) Press OK

This will create a transaction with only HST in it. HST adjustments are
always put against the Shipping category.

Typically, I use this technique to correct HST when the LCBO consolidates my
DD deliveries into a single invoice (from multiple invoices to multiple
stores) and changes the HST to not match the multiple invoice total.

Cheers,

Rob
